Hello, thanks for sharing your portfolio and I appreciate your posts. As a fellow $FRFHF shareholder, curious when you got into Fairfax Financial and what your thoughts are at current price?

Hey, thanks for your comment.

At the current price of about $1140, the stock still seems cheap and I think you get a somewhat safe 11-16% CAGR over the next couple of years, depending on what BV multiple it trades at by then.

I also think it provides a somewhat uncorrelated stock compared to the rest of my portfolio (financials, benefits from rates going up...).

It was part of the model portfolio of this substack since the beginning (which was 1/1/24), so at $920.

In my personal account, I bought in sept 2022 at $450 and sold around $620 4 months later, happy with a quick 30%+ gain. I didn't appreciate back then how this stock could still be cheap after a quick gain like that.

I bought a position again in Dec 23, a bit over $900. Bought the dip around MW short report $ trimmed again on the way up, and eventually sold all in May at $1130.

Why the difference between my PA & the model portfolio?

I trade more actively in my PA. Trying to do less of that in the model portfolio. I think FRFHF is still a very fine hold at these levels, but wanted to make room for something else in my PA.
